Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Location: Coit, Cleveland OH

About the Role

This hourly position resides in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and reports to the site Operations Manager. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring all materials are shipped and received on time and for managing warehousing and storage of onsite goods.

Responsibilities

  • Determine shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules. Notifies carriers for shipments. Creates and distributes shipping schedule daily.
  • Utilize computerized ERP system (Microsoft Business Central) to prepare and generate documents for all shipments. This includes: bill of lading, packing slip and COA.
  • Work closely with the Planning department in the coordination of inventory management.
  • Responsible for processing all payables for miscellaneous items/contracts/freight. Matches purchase orders, bill of ladings to invoice to ensure accuracy. Enters receipts into ERP system.
  • Scans and uploads documentation into ERP system.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Attends all required safety training and works in a safe manner while performing all duties of the job.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma /GED OR 4+ years of relevant Shipping & Receiving experience
  • Must have experience using computers – Clerical skills consisting of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or other) (computer and scan-gun based), Email, and Microsoft Excel
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to multi-task efficiently under pressure.
  • Detailed knowledge of materials flow, shipping and receiving functions (both inbound and outbound) in a fast-moving environment.
