You will manage conveyor and automation projects from kickoff through commissioning, leading cross-functional teams, owning the schedule and budget, and making sure every milestone lands on time. What You'll Do Customer Leadership Lead customer meetings from project kickoff through completion, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Negotiate scope, schedules, and expectations effectively, maintaining strong customer relationships even when challenges arise. Manage stakeholder expectations proactively and resolve conflicts before they impact delivery. Project Management and Execution Apply PMI-aligned project management practices across scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and stakeholder management on every project. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules covering all milestones including design release, procurement, fabrication, assembly, FAT, and installation. Manage scope, schedule, and cost baselines through formal change control processes. Monitor progress continuously, identify risks early, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Oversee both on-site and off-site project execution activities, including travel to customer sites, vendor facilities, and installation locations as required. Team Coordination and Budget Ownership Lead internal coordination meetings with engineering, purchasing, operations, suppliers, and vendors to align on deliverables and resolve issues quickly. Work closely with the engineering team to define solutions, address design or manufacturing challenges, and ensure compliance with specifications. Own the project's financial performance including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide regular project updates to internal management and external stakeholders with clear, accurate reporting. QualificationsWhat We're Looking For Must Have: Minimum 5 years of project management experience in conveyor systems, automation, or industrial machinery. Proven success managing complex, multidisciplinary projects in manufacturing or automation environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills with the ability to manage scope, cost, and schedule trade-offs. Proficient in project management software such as MS Project, MS Planner, or equivalent. Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in conveyors and automation equipment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). Nice to Have: PMP certification or equivalent formal training in PMI-based project management methodologies. Experience with ERP or MRP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Epicor Prophet 21. Background in automotive, e-commerce fulfillment, or industrial automation project delivery.
