Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.
Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The Opportunity
As a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce Technical Senior at EY GDS, you will contribute to the success of enterprise-scale D365 F&O implementations, primarily in the Retail and commerce domain. You will have the opportunity to work with a growing team and play a key role in delivering financial transformation solutions, process improvements, and ERP implementations to global clients, helping build a better working world.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through value-driven consulting, technical leadership, and proactive engagement.
- Lead the technical design and development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce solutions, with a focus on POS systems (MPOS/CPOS) & B2C/B2B Website.
- Configure and extend Store Commerce, Hardware Station, and integrate peripherals such as printers, scanners, cash drawers, and payment devices.
- Configure and extend B2C & B2B website, Site builder.
- Develop custom POS functionalities using Commerce SDK, Online SDK, TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, and .NET Core.
- Implement integrations between POS and backend systems: ERP (F&O), payment gateways, fiscal printers, loyalty programs, and eCommerce platforms.
- Design and maintain offline-first POS architecture, ensuring performance, fault tolerance, and scalability across store networks.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business needs into detailed technical designs and functional design documents (FDDs).
- Utilize Azure DevOps and Lifecycle Services (LCS) for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management.
- Support system testing, performance tuning, deployment, and go-live activities.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best development practices, and maintain thorough technical documentation.
- Provide Level 3 support post-go-live to resolve POS-related issues and ensure smooth store operations.
- Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
- Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Familiarity with Power Platform, especially Power Apps and Power BI, is a plus.
- Ability to conceptualize and design future-state business processes.
- Experience in conducting GAP analysis, solution testing, and user training.
- Good understanding of security roles, data management, Azure DevOps, and LCS environments.
- Knowledge of integration with other Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Power Platform.
- Familiarity with industry-specific retail practices and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in multi-country and multi-legal entity environments.
- Strong documentation, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead discovery workshops, manage offshore teams, and mentor junior consultants.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, fast-paced environment.
What We Look For
- 5–10 years of experience in D365 Commerce technical.
- Minimum 3 full-cycle D365 F&O implementations in Commerce domains.
- Strong domain knowledge of Retail & eCommerce.
- Strong domain knowledge of D365 Site builder tool.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Experience with Microsoft SureStep, Agile, or hybrid implementation methodologies.
- Proficiency in working with globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
- Microsoft certifications such as MB-340, MB-900 are preferred.
