About the Role

This is an entry-level Junior Business Analyst position within a dynamic and established global ERP team. The Junior Business Analyst role focuses on understanding and analyzing business processes and translating these into functional business requirements for an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

You will work directly with key business leads, the ERP project team, Business Process Owners, Business Analysts from other functions, and the wider IT team to ensure timelines are achieved and key business requirements are delivered successfully.

This role is based onsite out of the Mississauga office location.

Key Responsibilities

Gathering Requirements – meeting with business stakeholders to identify business needs and issues related to As-Is processes and map these to To-Be processes

Documenting Requirements – creating clear and concise documentation including business requirements (BRDs), functional specifications (FSDs), process flows, user stories and data mapping

Data Analysis – extract and analyze existing data to identify trends and issues. Provide informed analysis to business stakeholders and other team members

System Configuration – assist with the configuration of the ERP system based on documented requirements

Testing and Quality Assurance – participate in test phases including configuration testing, conference room pilots (CRPs), integrated conference room pilots (iCRPs) and user acceptance testing (UAT)

Incident and Problem Identification and Resolution – provide second level support to business users to identify and resolve issues, identify underlying problems and answer questions related to the ERP system

User Training and Documentation – support user training through developing training content and delivering user training. Prepare end user documentation including reference guides, manuals, and cheat sheets.

Required Qualifications

  • Understanding of business processes and data analysis
  • Awareness and basic understanding of ERP systems (e.g. Oracle JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint
  • Customer Service mindset and experience
  • Bachelor or University degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Business Analysis or System Configuration
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely to multiple audiences
  • Collaboration facilitation skills (e.g. activity identification, process mapping, ideation, retrospective)
  • Business process flows and modelling
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Flexible to travel and work across time zones
