About the role
The Global RM Planning and Purchasing Specialist is responsible for planning, purchasing, and ensuring availability of raw materials in the Central Raw Material Warehouse to support uninterrupted production and supply chain operations. You will also be supporting global raw material planning initiatives including allocation, reallocation, optimization projects, and cross-site collaboration.
Key responsibilities
Raw Material Planning
- Plan and manage raw material requirements for the central RM warehouse based on production forecasts and demand planning.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess stock.
- Monitor stock levels, safety stock parameters, and reorder points.
- Identify risks of shortages or excess inventory and take corrective actions.
Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
- Execute purchase orders for raw materials in line with planning requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and delivery reliability.
- Support cost control initiatives and purchasing optimization.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate raw material inventory records.
- Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure correct stock levels and material availability.
- Manage material allocations within the central RM warehouse.
Global Raw Material Planning Support
- Assist with global raw material allocation and reallocation across sites.
- Support cross-regional supply chain initiatives.
- Participate in supply chain improvement projects and planning optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with global planning teams to ensure supply continuity.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyse inventory trends, shortages, and supply risks.
- Prepare reports related to stock levels, supplier performance, and planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years experience in supply planning, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in Excel and supply chain tools.
- Experience in D365 is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented and proactive.
- Strong ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work in a global and cross-functional environment.
