The Role

Uisce Éireann IT (UÉ IT) provides IT services and support to the wider Uisce Éireann business. IT Operations is responsible for all operational run activities across Applications, Service Management and Infrastructure.

The Applications teams implement, upgrade and support all Uisce Éireann applications including CC&B, Maximo, Mobile Apps, Middleware, Oracle Financials, GIS, HR specific applications, SharePoint and Service Now. The Applications teams also support applications built on Microsoft Power Platform such as Connection Developer Services (CDS), Environmental Information Management System (EIMS) and Safety Information Management System (SIMS), and play a pivotal role in implementing new applications.

Reporting to the Asset D365 Technical Lead, the Asset D365 Technical Analyst provides support and enhancements to UÉ Asset related applications including the Power Apps: Connection Developer Services (CDS), Environmental Information Management System (EIMS) and Safety Information Management System (SIMS).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be part of a team which ensures the availability and smooth running of Asset-related applications and related services across Uisce Éireann and relevant business partners, including resolution of issues and relevant escalation
  • Support the design, development, modification and maintenance of Asset-related systems, working with the Applications Build & Delivery team as appropriate, with a particular focus on ensuring technical aspects are configured and implemented according to best practices
  • Support testing of new and updated functionality as well as systems integration testing in conjunction with other application analysts
  • Manage the Asset-related incident queue(s) on Service Now including incident reporting and analysis, with a particular focus on resolution of technical issues
  • Support the maintenance of relevant environments: Development, Testing, Acceptance, Production
  • Define, promote and enforce strong governance including applications, security and company standards
  • Liaise with relevant business areas such as Environmental Regulation, Customer Operations, Call Centre, Asset Management, Asset Operations and Health and Safety
  • Liaise with relevant external resource/service providers and partners as required
  • Develop an understanding of business processes and work closely with various business areas to maintain, develop and implement solutions that meet their business requirements
  • Adhere to IT development procedures and standards
  • Keep abreast of enhancements to relevant systems and services as well as the wider IT industry

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business, including wider IT Teams (notably Service Management, Build & Delivery Teams and IT Business Partners), teams and end-users of relevant systems, and Project Team members across various business units
  • Promote and deliver health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards
  • Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives
  • Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann's Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation
  • Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of technical implementation and support experience with relevant systems is desirable
  • Professional training/certification in the relevant technologies is desirable
  • Relevant third level qualification and/or accreditation is desirable
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and/or relevant experience
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate information to others
  • Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results within a team
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
  • Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements
  • Proactively identify new areas of improvement and use newly gained knowledge and skill on the job

If successful you will be placed on the salary range based on your skills and experience. The Market reference point (midpoint) of the range is generally the upper end of the offer where someone is deemed to be fully competent to take on the duties of the role, and leaves room for the employee to progress through the pay range as their experience develops further.
