The Role

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist / Senior Accountant to join the Finance team at Radisson Blu Hotel, Florence. You will support the hotel's administrative, accounting and reporting activities.

You will work closely with the Financial Controller and various internal departments, contributing to the correct management of accounting processes, periodic closures, monthly reporting and compliance with administrative and tax deadlines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage general accounting activities, ensuring correctness, accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
  • Manage accounts payable, including recording, checking and correct allocation of supplier invoices.
  • Support monthly closure activities by preparing necessary accounting documentation and verifying data completeness.
  • Support the Financial Controller in end-of-month reporting activities, budget and forecast preparation by processing data from different departments for monthly reporting purposes.
  • Analyse and monitor monthly results, including costs, revenues, KPIs and provisions for invoices to be received.
  • Perform reconciliations of current and non-current accounts, balance sheet accounts and Intercompany reconciliations and rebilling where applicable.
  • Support the management of periodic tax and administrative obligations, ensuring compliance with relevant deadlines.
  • Monitor key accounting, tax and administrative deadlines.
  • Collaborate in preparing documentation to support internal audits, inspections and Group controls.
  • Apply Group policies defined by Internal Audit, ensuring alignment with local regulations in daily administration and control activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, corporate and external consultants to ensure correct flow of administrative and accounting information and improvement of administrative processes.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in administrative-accounting, accounting or controlling roles in structured companies and international contexts.
  • Diploma in Accounting and/or Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines.
  • Good knowledge of general accounting, accounts payable, main monthly closure activities, periodic tax obligations and main administrative deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and good familiarity with data processing and analysis.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Precision, reliability, discretion, proactivity and strong attention to detail.
  • Organisation, practical approach, analytical skills and ability to work in teams.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks in parallel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the hotel, hospitality or travel sector.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central system.
  • Familiarity with Intercompany processes and Group reporting packages.
  • Knowledge of management control logic and KPI analysis.
