About Nordnet

Nordnet started 25 years ago with the aim of democratising savings and investments. We have grown to become the leading digital platform for savings and investments in the Nordic region. Through innovation, simplicity and transparency, we challenge traditional structures and give private savers access to the same information, tools and services as professional investors.

We are approximately 900 employees in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki and Copenhagen.

The Role

As an Economic Assistant at Nordnet, your main responsibility is to handle supplier invoices, issue customer invoices and ensure correct accounting. You will be a key person in optimizing our processes and are expected to take a comprehensive approach to drive efficiency and continuous improvements.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Handle supplier invoices and generate customer invoices as requested
  • Monitor due dates, send reminders and book payments, and reconcile accounts payable
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Continuously educate and assist company managers and employees with questions regarding invoice handling, coding and approval
  • Act as team leader for two students working part-time in the accounting department

In due course, the role may also include:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
  • Preparation of statistical reports, VAT returns and income tax returns

You will work closely with the remaining 12 colleagues in the Accounting team and also have many contact points throughout the rest of the company.

Your Profile and Background

To succeed in this role, we believe you have a qualification in economics with a focus on accounting (or equivalent).

We are looking for you who either:

  • Have several years of experience in accounting and working with the supplier invoice process
  • Or have experience from Nordnet's existing operations combined with great curiosity and interest in accounting matters

As a person:

  • You have a positive attitude and see solutions rather than problems
  • You have great drive, good ability to prioritize and work quickly with high precision and quality
  • Since you will support managers and lead students, it is important that you are clear, pedagogical and communicative
  • You are structured, have good organizational skills and high integrity
  • You speak and write both Swedish and English fluently (required, as we are a Nordic company with English as the group language)

Merits:

  • Experience from the banking and financial sector
  • Interest in and experience with various AI tools (we constantly want to develop our processes)
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central, Abasec and ExFlow

What We Offer

You will have the opportunity to work in a Nordic environment with a focus on innovation, product development and technology. We accelerate, renew ourselves and build the best platform for savings and investments. Our ambitions are high and you will be part of an exciting and challenging journey with a great team of sharp and committed colleagues. There is great development potential and opportunities to be part of the journey towards becoming the first choice among Nordic savers.
