About the Role
Martin Sprocket & Gear is a global leader in mechanical power transmission components, material handling systems, and custom forgings. We're looking for skilled Planners to join our team dedicated to producing quality products with excellence.
Responsibilities
- Plan orders using production resources and communication with Sales
- Set B.O.M. and work routing through the shop in our ERP system (MS Dynamics AX)
- Track orders through the Shop, expediting when necessary
- Assist with parts backorders and field questions for work in progress
- Use MS Office Suite programs to maintain workflow
- Cross-train for future career growth opportunities
- Spend up to 20% of the time in the shop environment
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (related Majors also considered)
- Experience: Preference will be given to applicants with experience planning orders in a manufacturing industry
- Attention to detail: Strong focus on accuracy and good communication in all tasks
- Mechanical knowledge: Familiarity with basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledge
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Reliability and accuracy: Commitment to reliable work with a high standard of accuracy in drawings and specifications
- Availability: Full-time, with occasional Saturday overtime as needed, adherence to attendance and company policies

- 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
