About HS2 (High Speed 2)
High Speed Two (HS2) Limited is the UK government-owned company responsible for developing and promoting Britain's new high-speed rail network. It is funded by grant-in-aid from the government and is an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Transport. The HS2 line is being built between London and Birmingham, with a connection north of Birmingham to the West Coast Main Line at Handsacre in Staffordshire.
