About Chicago Metropolitan Agen
The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is the comprehensive planning organization and federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for the seven counties (Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will) and 284 municipalities of northeastern Illinois. It develops and guides implementation of long-range regional plans addressing transportation, housing, economic development, open space, and the environment, including ON TO 2050 and the in-development Century Plan.
